Ryan + Ashley | Wedding | Main Street Abbey – Evalyn & Co.

March 18th, 2018

One special night at the St. Louis Blues Game and four years of date night-ins, dinner dates, and arcade fun, Ryan found the perfect opportunity to get on one knee in front of everyone during family portraits. Ashley was super surprised and said yes to forever.

Though they were looking forward to a wedding, it was a little roller coaster getting to alter. Ashley and Ryan found a beautiful venue and set a date. Lots of DIY decor was being made, all the wedding professionals were being booked, and countdown was officially started. A couple months before the date, Ashley and Ryan was notified from a friend that had just drove by the venue. They were told them that it looked to be a burn accident on the property. Ashley reached out the venue immediately to find out what happened and was told they would need to postpone their wedding date. Could you imagine? Quickly they had to reach out to their guest, vendors, and was thankful everyone was supportive and still ready to celebrate a year later. Three weeks before the wedding date they decided to check in and after a visit they knew the progress was not feasible to have a wedding. Again, they quickly change gears and find a new location with availability. Main Street Abbey was God-sent! Ashley sent text messages out to all their guest to let them know the final details and that they were officially set on celebrating their marriage.

The day was finally here and it was a perfect Friday afternoon to get married! Upon arrival, I met Ashley in the updated and new Bridal Suite! Before they saw each other they stood on both sides of the entrance door at Main Street Abbey and read heart-felt letters to each other. It definitely was an emotional time before the First Look. Ryan could not wait to see his bride, it was the only thing he could think about until that moment! It was no secret that their friends and family are a huge part of their story. Some family and bridal party stood back to watch Ashley and Ryan see each other for the first time. It was a quiet moment as he turned to his beautiful wife.

Thinking back, it had to almost be worth the wait because everything about Main Street Abbey and their details were perfect. The vows were sweet and short, but the room was filled with smiles during the ceremony. They shared their first dance as Mr. & Mrs with the song, Hanging by a Moment by The Lighthouse. BUT picture Ashely’s father in law singing this song while her uncle played the guitar for a special touch. Breathtaking! One of their favorite parts by far!

Ashley wants to remind our Bride to Be readers that they day goes by so fast, so have fun! They both encourage future EvCo couples to write a letter to each other to read on your wedding day. Two reschedules later and only 3 weeks to reset and replan, I was still able to accommodate Ashley and Ryan and I was so happy to be there! The newly weds look look forward to growing their own little family and making new memories.

Xoxo,

Channa
